Delicia Boyd
DeLicia Boyd is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland. DeLicia received her Masters of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to this, DeLicia earned her Bachelors of Science in psychology, sociology and anthropology from Towson University.
DeLicia assists clients in creating a more productive, stress-free life by way of individual counseling. She prioritizes building genuine therapeutic relationships and provides a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore past and present struggles. DeLicia specializes in helping clients find balance in their lives. She works collaboratively to create and implement counseling goals that empower clients to confront their challenges.
When working with clients, DeLicia utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and person- centered therapy in order to empower clients to acknowledge and challenge ineffective patterns in their life. She also helps clients to create new thought patterns that allow clients to lead a more joyful life. DeLicia encourages clients to examine relationships and the impacts they may have on their day to day lives in order to help clients create healthier boundaries. She also helps clients develop coping mechanisms in order to effectively manage life stressors. DeLicia has worked with a variety of populations who presented with a variety of concerns. She specializes in working with clients experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, or challenges with recent life adjustments.
