Getting Started

To schedule your initial consultation as a new client, reach out to us via email or voicemail with your name, age, and a brief description of your therapy needs. Once we receive your message, we will assign an available provider who will contact you to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to assess the compatibility between you and the provider.

During the phone consultation, your provider will collect your insurance information to verify your benefits before the initial appointment. Additionally, your provider will set up a profile on the secure therapy portal and schedule your intake appointment. You will receive an email with a link inviting you to create a client portal account. Please sign up within 24 hours of receiving the email as the link will expire. Please complete all opening paperwork before your first appointment. If all paperwork is not completed prior to your first appointment, your appointment will be canceled and rescheduled for a later date.

  • In- person appointments are held at The Granite Building which is located at 115 Centerway, Suite 211, Greenbelt, MD 20770. Once you enter the building, please text your provider to inform them of your arrival. Your provider will meet you in the lobby and escort you to the office.

  • For virtual appointments, log on to your client portal account to access your telehealth link.

  • Your initial appointment is 60 minutes long. This appointment includes your provider reviewing your client's rights and responsibilities and explaining the extent and limitations of confidentiality. Your provider will also conduct a biopsychosocial evaluation, asking several questions about your background, family history, and reasons for seeking therapy. This process will provide your provider with a comprehensive understanding of your lived experiences and inform your treatment plan.

During the initial appointment, you and your provider will collaborate on treatment goals. At the end of the session, your provider will offer a recurring weekly appointment. If your schedule is unpredictable, you can use the portal to request future appointments.

    Continuing services:

After your first session, the following sessions will be 45-55 minutes long. Each therapy session will be reflective of your experiences, concerns and treatment goals. Sessions will include a variety of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) while remaining client centered.
